Bishop John L. Thompson, of the Diocese of Northern California, received me as an Episcopal priest at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Sacramento, CA, on June 2, 1982. Having enjoyed 25 years of active service in the Episcopal Church and four years now of retirement, I thank God for all the past opportunities and look forward to whatever further use God may find for me in the future. I would gladly do it all over again. Today I'm thinking of and praying for all those who had a hand in bringing me to that day in 1982, and who have come into my life since then. What a rich mixture of blessings! Thanks to you all, and thanks be to God!
